Irwin Adjustable Wood Drill Bit works once you take out the crappy set screw that comes with the kit and buy yourself a new one. It's a little difficult to use as it's unbalanced. As for the accuracy of the scale, I had no problems. I've been looking for one of these things for a while and I'm happy to say it works well for me. UPDATE Jan 2013 I still use this from time to time. My spare screw is still holding. I found that you actually have to tighten the screw to keep the blade from moving during the cutting process. This isn't the best option for hardwood as it requires a lot of torque to scrape it down. Chipboard and MDF are fine. The scale is fairly accurate, but if you don't tighten it, it can move a little between cuts. All 4 though, there can be improvements there, but it works fine once you have everything set up. I've made over 100 cuts with it and it still works. I sell what I do so I have a good account
