The lock just doesn't work. The second time I tried to unlock the thing, it refused to unscrew it. I tried to lock/unlock several times and each time it just "clicked" when rotating. It will not be unpacked. I needed gas, so I broke the stupid gas cap. It was surprisingly easy to remove with a pair of pliers. I wedged it in the keyhole and with minimal effort the cap fell apart into several pieces. After that it was easy to just remove it. Glad I kept my original gas cap in the truck! This product sucks.
