Works as described. Didn't have to calibrate it. I have an 2 humidors, one for regular cigars and one for flavored cigars. I have aCaliber IV Digital Hygromter by Western Humidor in my other humidor which comes pre-calibrated. They matched exactly on the humidity. But I will warn you it will take up to 24 hours for it to read the correct levels.
