This was a panic buy as the weather for the long awaited motorcycle trip was forecast well into the 90's. After reading the reviews I ordered the medium which is a size smaller than what I probably would have ordered. It was still a little loose in places - I could feel the hot wind underneath. But just enough to fit my body and it worked very well. Combined with wet sun sleeves and a hat under a helmet, I held out until the weekend. With elasticated sides, I think this size will fit my husband and I will order another one in a small size. If necessary, it's nice. It's easy to charge by quickly soaking and squeezing into the toilet sink. I wore it over a lightweight Danksin synthetic fiber gym/running shirt that didn't feel sticky or tacky on my skin like a cotton t-shirt. Temperature, even not moving at the speed of the bike I felt it was removing at least some of the body heat. The vest feels heavy when you soak it, but after you squeeze out the excess water, it's ok. This weekend I didn't do that, I wasn't wearing my bulletproof jacket (yeah come on yell at me I should have put it on anyway) but I tried on the vest under the jacket to see if it worked fits and it fits. Now that I think about it, the vest might actually work better under the jacket because the jacket would fit the vest more closely to my body.
