Review on BALEAF Lightweight Pocketed Walking Activewear by Carl Mayes

Revainrating 1 out of 5

The waistband is extremely uncomfortable!

Wow! These shorts would have been rated 4-5 stars if it wasn't for the very uncomfortable elasticated waist. When I tried them on they seemed to fit, but I noticed that the elastic at the waist was very tight. I expected them to come loose after wearing them a few times, but no. They fit as expected or a bit too big - except for the elastic. Everything is also fine with the waist, the only problem is with the elastic. I bought them for lounging around the house and sleeping. I can't use them as intended because the elastic is too tight. They must have found a way to save money on production by using less. Like it was overtightened and then sewn back up. This is entirely unnecessary as there is also a lace. They feel like I'm wearing a belt or a corset - I mean, they're extremely uncomfortable. The elastic also rolls up like a tube inside the waistband, making it even tighter and more unyielding. Thought I'd try cutting the elastic in the waistband and maybe lengthen it with string to take the pressure off. But this is impossible, since the elastic band is not only in the belt, but is attached to the body of the shorts with a belt. To fix this you will need to remove the belt, trim the finished edge, replace or repair the elastic, and then reassemble the belt and reattach it to the pants. I don't sew and can't justify having a tailor do it as it would probably cost more than shorts. Without this game-changing problem, they would be decent shorts. The length is just long enough to avoid chafing between the thighs and the pockets comfortably fit a decent-sized phone. The material is comfortable and flexible. For me it was a waste of money. If you are looking for comfortable shorts, you can look elsewhere. After this experience I will not buy anything from Baleaf again.
