We first bought one of these scooters for my son (4) and a cheaper scooter for our daughter (20 months). We quickly realized (when she never used hers and preferred her brother's) that we had made a mistake. Why? These scooters have the ideal floor height for children up to 5 years old. The other two scooters we tried for her (yes we tried the other two cheap ones as she is much younger) she didn't like at all. Eventually she bought her pink and blue and ta-da. She LOVES it and now they ride her together. Since the ground clearance of these scooters is lower than others, it is much easier for them to get around.
