When I bought this lock/alarm I was amazed by the simplicity and convenience of the product. I installed it on my Honda CRF 250 as advertised and tested all functions. The motion detection isn't as sensitive as I thought it would be, but I assumed it was intentional so that every gust of wind doesn't trigger. The sound the alarm made when it went off was loud enough to get the point across, but I doubt I'd hear it in the house. I've been happy so far until I only wanted to unlock it for the second time. and he broke. The drive/lock plate, the only material holding the lock, is broken, leaving only an expensive piece of noisy metal. I'm disappointed that without any pressure or effort, the very thing that was supposed to protect my bike from theft failed at a single point that was designed to be a critical and reliable part. If you want a sound machine with motion detection, this might be for you. However, if you need something that will secure your bike and protect it from theft, I would recommend something else.
