Review on πŸ”¨ PC Woody Petrifier with Hardening Properties by William Stewart

Stronger than wood?

"There was a big hole in my sundeck (see photo)." Either the wood had to be replaced or the hole had to be properly filled. I applied 2 coats of hardener first and waited overnight. I ordered 2 smaller cans but needed more to complete the job. The epoxy paste is very thick but is easy to roll up and mix with the two-part resin and hardener. First I screwed the wire mesh under the hole since the deck is 2 stories up. Epoxy resin is easy to apply with a simple spatula and is very easy to work with. It's hard to get smooth with my finger, I gave it a smoother pre-finish than a putty knife could. I waited 24 hours to fully dry. Now that the sanding was getting difficult, I first tried my portable electric sander with 120 grit sandpaper. The sander literally bounced off and sanded very little of the epoxy. The claim that epoxies can be harder than wood is true. I left the grit at 120 and sanded by hand with a sanding block with slightly better results. I waited another 24 hours. The next day I sealed and colored the final result (see middle picture). Not even a hammer can break this substance. But it loses a star because it's too labor intensive for my liking. 4 stars
