I did what Hit did. My first overseas trip was to Thailand, which didn't require an adapter for US plugs, so I didn't use one until my trip to Malaysia. The adapter provided by our Airbnb host started working after the first day, so I pulled out the Anker USB adapter and was able to charge both of our phones. We're losing the fast charging capabilities of our phone chargers, but they get the job done.
