Works perfectly. Difficult to install in Dirt Devil, but possible. helps if you have strong hands and a sturdy screwdriver. Style 1: First attach the belt to the motor spindle and then to the brush strip. Insert the brush into the right side recess - now the tricky part - reattach the small detachable left side piece to the remaining side of the brush shaft AND at the same time (with a quick prayer) attach the left side piece to the body. Vacuum with the correct orientation. I did this last part 4 times before success. The steps are obvious but take time and patience. There is a spindle compartment with a plastic cover. I tried to open it - bad idea - it almost broke (let's say Mr. Revane - am I getting paid for all this consulting?)
