i like my set Quality products require quality care.

I wanted to reply directly to those who gave a bad rating. I just bought this set and I love the look, the shape and feel of the handles and the weight of the pieces. My wife and I are VERY avid cooks and use our crockery and cutlery extensively. A few years ago we bought a decent set of Wustoff cutlery, used them and put them in the dishwasher. We were frustrated with how this seemed to mess up the knife set. This was the first "Nice" knife set we ever bought. We sent them back immediately. Shortly thereafter we read about the proper care of good knives and looked at Elton Brown's Good Food series on choosing cutlery. We recognize that NICE cookware requires special care and, when done right, will perform at its best and last you a lifetime. We then kept them sharp, hand washed them and they have been very durable and stable in appearance and performance. When purchasing a good kitchen utensil set, one should first assess the performance of the items. Second, the performance and appearance of these items are highly dependent on how you care for them. Some people can put them in the dishwasher and I wouldn't recommend that. Even if you hand wash them, the copper will tarnish and the stainless steel will stain. We've been using them all week and I was a little worried about how they looked. I bought a bottle of Tarnex for copper servings and a bartenders friend for the inside of the pan. After a few minutes, the tarnished pans looked LIKE NEW. I want people to understand that you don't just treat quality stuff like junk. You care more. It's no different. If you keep them in perfect condition, they'll be as beautiful and shiny as new and work just as well as the day you took them out of the box. I love our set and would buy it again.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Annoying
