Purchased to reduce dust and pet hair while sweeping in the air. It does a great job. I use rugs primarily on bare floors and under kitchen countertops and am amazed at how much dust, pet hair, bird dander and feathers I can remove every day. I don't use the vacuum when the family is still asleep so I had to find a way to sweep like a vacuum and it definitely helps. Probably better than a vacuum when it comes to pet hair. I still use a regular broom to sweep the lint into a dustpan as it's easier to collect the lint in a dustpan than using this silicone broom. But overall very satisfied
