They're more than enough to secure the top part of the screen, but it's quite noisy/uncomfortable and may startle a sensitive animal when opening/closing. - With bad reviews for another popular product, this presents a great opportunity for someone to invent a silent and secure locking/latching screen cover; ideally something that is adjustable in size and then a quiet way to activate that blocking ability. Also: I've already managed to bend one of these a bit while getting used to it. I ordered 3 pairs for flip screen use. above (two "square" holes, not the long semi-rectangular type) and you need 3 pairs as some animals can open an aquarium protected by something smaller.
