Review on Gates DriveAlign 38158 Automatic Belt Tensioner by John Carter

Just completely discontinued my Chevy Tahoe 03. Belts, tensioners, cables, spark plugs etc. They were in stock and Delco was out of stock and the reviews were good so I bought this (main engine belt tensioner) and another AC belt tensioner. Both fit perfectly, both are quiet (stock was 220k) and have no issues. Installation took 10 minutes and 3 15mm screws. I think they'll do their job well, but they're built differently, maybe cheaper, maybe better, I don't know, but the lightness struck me when I got my hands on both pieces. Once I've ridden it a few miles, I'll be able to back up my rating. I'm a fan of genuine parts whenever possible, but couldn't wait for Delco parts to be available in this case. If other reviews are correct I doubt there will be any problems.
