I enjoy doing DIY projects around the house. I recently had to cut a hole in a stainless steel (SS) sink to install an air breaker to remove debris. This kit had exactly what I needed and cut the hole I needed with ease. I appreciate there is a good range of sizes: 5/8" (16mm), 3/4" (19mm), 7/8" (22mm), 1" (25.5mm ), 1-1/8" (29mm). ), 1-1/4" (32mm), 1-3/8" (35mm), 1-3/4" (45mm), 2 "(51mm), 2-1/8"(54mm). The cutting depth is no more than 1 inch and the bits have a triple flat shank with a diameter of 10 mm. A triple flat shank is REQUIRED to prevent the bit from rotating in the chuck (page 3). Too many big bits don't have this feature, making it almost useless IMHO. They are sharp and easily drill through stainless steel when used with a quality cutting oil such as Evo Dyne Cutting Fluid. Hole saws are marked with size information (page 4). They also have a detachable pilot drill that secures with a hex key and each drill has a flat on the shank to prevent rotation. Again what I would like. Please note that the seller includes 2 hex keys and 2 spare centering guide drill bits (page 6) with waste disposal springs. Perfect! Great sentence! Each hole saw has a heavy steel body and tungsten carbide (TC) teeth. Carbide teeth are required for drilling in SS. Most hole saws are just bimetal, some not even! The case is a plus for keeping them organized and preventing teeth from hitting each other as the TC is hard but a bit brittle. TIP: When drilling SS, use low RPM (500) and a cutting lubricant such as Evo Dyne Cutting Fluid for best results. . A small starting hole is best for drilling a large hole. They will pierce my SS very easily. I recommend this ASNOMY 12 Piece TCT Carbide Hole Saw Set, 5/8"-2-1/8" Carbide Bit Set with Titanium Center Drill for Metal. , stainless steel, iron, wood, plastic. Excellent hole saw set at a great price. I hope you found the information and my review helpful.
