Review on Dorman 924 408 Upper Shock Mount: The Ultimate Solution for Reliable Shock Absorption by Tom Goodlow

Revainrating 5 out of 5

In my opinion it's best to bore them out

Had to take all saws to factory assembly due to broken nut. Got my Dorman Mount early. Installed today with the help of my son in law. I sanded the factory rivets, took the bottom one out from the inside, I had to remove the rear tire to sand the top two and started fitting the frame. grinding stopped. Started drilling so I unscrewed the rivets. Drilling is the best way in my opinion. They are still not easy and are the main and biggest problem. My Dorman mount looked exactly like the factory mount, which popped up and snapped straight away. Install tires and shock absorbers. Good to go! Problem solved! Was very happy with the price, fit, quality and delivery of my Dorman Mount. My car is a '93 Ford Ranger XL, 2WD, 5 speed, 4 cylinder, short bed, regular cab. Fits perfectly.
