Review on πŸ₯ƒ Premium Stackable Round Ice Cube Maker for Whiskey and Bourbon - Slow Melting 2.5 Inch Ice Spheres (Pack of 6, Multi) by Lori Gallegos

One of the best ice cream molds I've ever bought!

First, I recommend using distilled bottled water for better clarity. Don't waste time boiling water if you read this somewhere. It does not help. These ice ball molds work great and are inexpensive. They are also very easy to use. I've tried many different strains and personally I don't care if they're crystal clear or not. It only makes the drink prettier. I do not recommend using tap water. What I like about these shapes is that they don't fall apart until the water freezes. Some of the small ones don't close properly and the water comes out before it freezes and you end up with half a ball of ice cream or less. You only have to fill the bottom half of the mold and when you place the top half the water will be pushed up. I don't need a funnel like some forms. They work great the way they are. I've experimented with different types of water and pure distilled water works best for the transparency of these shapes. Buy a liter jug and it will fill the molds more than you think. Ice balls come out very clear. Since these molds are not designed to freeze top to bottom, you will never get completely clear ice out of them. For those who want a more expensive form that is insulated on the sides and allows air and contaminants to pass through when the water freezes, resulting in the purest ice. If that's what you need, then look elsewhere. But I get pretty clear ice with them and distilled water. To open the mold, simply rinse in cold water until you can separate the top and bottom and place in a ziplock bag in the freezer or ice cream maker. I will be buying another set to do more at once. They also fold in the freezer if you have space, which is great.

Pros
  • Ice cube molds and trays
Cons
  • Slightly torn
