On Arrival - Networking Products

I plugged this into the network switch my computer is plugged into. I installed the software but it couldn't find the device. Then I checked my router and it didn't show the device on the network. Then I checked the switch and of course the port that this device was plugged into did not light up. I tried another network cable but still no connection. I've arranged a return/exchange, let's see if the next one works.
