You won't find anything better at this price point. I used it to drain my water softener. The softener is buried in the ground outside and over the last few years some dust has collected in the water along with what appears to be very fine leaf particles. I had to pump rather than suction to get the water out, but it went well and it didn't take long to drain about 5-6 gallons of water. I was also happy to see that the leaf particles were sucked up and removed without affecting the pump itself. I also used the pump to inflate the basketball and some air started leaking from the piston area when the basketball was almost full. I didn't purchase a pump for this use, so I didn't take that into account in the review. I suggest a better pump if you use it for basketballs. Other products like air mattresses etc will probably work well with this pump.
