I've looked through several sources to find a good stitch counter and decided to give this one a try. Determining your caliber is very simple. Place the left leg of the slider where 0 is on the left side of the stitch. Ignore the 0 now, that's when you start counting. Count 10 stitches to the right and place the slider to the right of the 10th stitch, the slider will show your density in stitches per inch! How easy is it! Confusingly, the thicker the yarn, the thinner the gauge. The slider moves from 2.5 right to 10 left as your yarn gets thinner (more stitches per inch). It's so simple, it's bizarre! I will never want a gauge meter again!
