Not sure about this item

I crochet a lot and have a lot of hooks. When measuring, I found that the accuracy of the hooks and the gauge are not compatible. Maybe hook size or strength, I don't really know. However, I feel like it gives an idea of the dimensions anyway. An experienced knitter knows how to balance this out.

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons

Very accurate, necessary and inexpensive tool

This is a very accurate and necessary tool for everyone who knits. I don't crochet so I don't know if it can be used to measure needle size, but for knitting it's a very useful and necessary gauge when checking needle size, especially when the needles are not marked. or poorly defined. It's quick and easy to use and very durable.

Pros
  • Absolute legend
Cons
  • High price

All you have to do is count to ten. Cute!

I've looked through several sources to find a good stitch counter and decided to give this one a try. Determining your caliber is very simple. Place the left leg of the slider where 0 is on the left side of the stitch. Ignore the 0 now, that's when you start counting. Count 10 stitches to the right and place the slider to the right of the 10th stitch, the slider will show your density in stitches per inch! How easy is it! Confusingly, the thicker the yarn, the thinner the gauge. The sliderโ€ฆ

Functional but old school caliber is better than

Dial gauge works great. Very handy for sorting your collection of unmarked twin needles that have fallen out of their case in your desk drawer. Your needle size is the smallest hole that the needle will fit (may be tight, but don't force it). The stitch sensor works by moving the guide so that the insides of the caliper are separated by 10 stitches or rows. Then read the size indicated in the manual. Stitch gauge is a good idea, but I think the problem is that 10 stitches or rows might be tooโ€ฆ
