I have several versions of these pliers from the cheapest $5 sets to "heavy duty" sets from big box import stores. None of them even came close to installing/removing the large clamps on my tractor. These clips are thick (about 1/10 inch) and not small (about 2 inches wide). These are rigid industrial clamps for industrial backhoe loaders. Ordinary cheap clips do next to nothing. The clip just laughs at her. Quinn's much better quality tool almost works, but it's not powerful enough to fully extend the tool's capabilities, and even if they were, they just haven't extended it enough to actually use it to get the clip back . I didn't want to spend an insane amount on a tool that is rarely used, but given the increase in maintenance I'm doing on the tractor (and how many tools I've bent/broken due to my superhuman strength), I figured it would be a good one Idea to get something better. . And there are plenty of such mounts on the bucket/boom assemblies, and who knows where else on this bad boy. They were able to fully and easily expand the clamp so it slid right onto the pin. It took 10 seconds and everything worked. I was shocked. You worked like a champ! No regret.
