Review on Christmas Gift Idea: FAVIA Wine Aerator Pourer Set For Men & Women by Timothy Wall

Aerates as expected, struggled with fit

I was wanting to try either an aerator or a decanter but the latter requires much more storage space which I'm running short on, so this product's compact size and a bonus stopper won the day. The wine aerator seems to work well. I can see the difference in the pour and there is a difference in taste, but I'm far from a wine connoisseur so I'm going to defer to other reviewers whether it's better or not. I probably shouldn't waste money on a decanter. The main problem I have is the stem that goes into the bottle is kind of thick, and for one of the bottles I tried the inserted portion is only a little more than half an inch. I was concerned it might fall out while pouring but it never did, though I was holding on to it as well, don't need a red mess on my hands, or clothes. Or maybe I needed to push way harder than I did but I don't think I could have. The other issue is the lack of instruction. When I tried the stopper, it wasn't clear to me how much I was supposed to pump. Do I stop based on some reaction on the plunger? I was not sure if I was using it effectively. But it did seem to form a seal as it took more effect to remove than a regular stopper.

Pros
  • WITHOUT WAITING --- Unlike a decanter, this wine decanter works almost instantly. This wine aerator will help you aerate your wine in the blink of an eye, allowing you to enjoy your wine instead of impatiently waiting for your tipple to breathe.
Cons
  • May take up more storage space than traditional pourers
