Review on 🔧 Bilstein (33-176857) 46mm Monotube Shock Absorber: Unrivaled Performance and Comfort by Aaron Gonzales

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very hard ride. Before.

I put her on a 31 foot 2001 Class C with 55,000 miles. They feel a bit too stiff for this RV to be comfortable on a small bump road. If I load the RV with heavy water, fuel and tow, then sure it could be smoother. It's a compromise you make to just be better at dealing with hits. Instead of these "HD shock absorbers" a reinforced Hellwig antisway handlebar with Bilstien "comfort absorbers" seems to be the best option. It could be the best of both worlds. But if you're just replacing the shocks with the stock RV suspension, this is a good option. Smaller, lighter C-Class cars should probably stick with comfort dampers. After installing the airbags and inflating to 65psi, the ride settled down significantly. Change to 5 stars. Beats now feel great.
