I don't know why people find it difficult to install. I installed this on my wife's older Vostro 400 (2007 model) with 64-bit Windows 7 Pro and connected it to her Dell monitor (via USB 2.0 ports). Initial testing showed downloads at around 50Mbps, which isn't much better than the N600 PCE adapter she had (actually about the same). However; After I activated both at the same time, it achieved a download speed of 129 Mbit/s and a ping time of 15 ms. This is only the case on the E4500 processor (dual-core 2.2 GHz). My 4GHz quad-core processor only gets about 100Mbps on AC "867". At $18, even if he dies in a year, it's a steal. The only thing I don't like is the blue light that flashes brightly when plugged in. We plan to put a small square of duct tape/vinyl tape on top.
