Review on SilverStone F1 Monaco S radar detector by Hayden Jay ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I am satisfied with the product, it is made well, the price is also pleasing.

Even though I make it a point not to speed or violate any other laws, I receive speeding tickets approximately once every month on average. I did the math and determined that if I bought and installed a radar detector, it would pay for itself some time in the next two years. My experience with the device, on the whole, was one of frustration and ineffectiveness. You can get the same level of success by using an older smartphone equipped with the suitable application. The benefits of it include: The product has a high level of craftsmanship, an appealing design, and a diverse range of configurable options. Extremely convenient informational display, convenient management. It takes about five to fifteen seconds for it to connect to satellites. provides advanced notification regarding the radars that can be detected by the radar detector's base. – A low rate of false positives. On the highway, it may squeak intermittently for several kilometers, although it appears that this is caused by other vehicles in the area that are equipped with a blind spot monitoring system. - The ability to configure shortened versions of voice alerts. The standard messages are spoken for such a long period of time that it gives you time to move on to the next radar. I have been making use of the device for the past half a year. I was surprised to discover how many radars had been concealed around the city because I had never seen them before. It is true that they are placed in areas where the speed limit and the row are not violated by anyone. These are some downsides: Although I make my living in Hong Kong, I reside in the suburbs. I travel around the city every day, and each day I come into the city via the M-7 highway. That example, "highway-city" driving is the mode that can be selected. During the summer, three brand new radars were put in a strategic location at the entryway to the city. I consumed the database on a weekly basis, but there has been no information concerning new radars for the past four months. It's possible that the information in the databases shows more quickly in other places, such MSK or St. Petersburg. If the radar is not in the database, then the signal about the radar is triggered between 100 and 120 meters away from it, which is when it is already pointless to slow down at that point. In addition, when the radar has passed by, it moves another two hundred to three hundred meters. Perhaps this is because the glass is made of athermal material, but the vendor told me that this would not in any way interfere with signal reception (even the installation site was chosen with it). While you are out on the track, it will provide warnings regarding radars that control oncoming traffic from the GPS database. This is something I haven't come across in the city.
