Review on Berlin Modisch Cylinder Deadbolt Locking by Douglas Cochrane

Love the look of this handle and latch set but only after a few months of use it broke completely! When it was first installed we noticed that the rubber grommet around the part that rotates to use the latch was loose and was twisted more than needed to install the latch. The installers who installed the door and new handle mentioned that they don't recommend buying this type of thing from Revain because they have a lot of problems, but unfortunately I decided to ignore their advice and go with the one I bought to keep. many problems with closing and opening the door in recent months. The mortise lock was so difficult to close and open no matter what the weather (although it gets harder in the winter). Besides problems at the beginning and throughout, after just 4 months of use, the bolt handle completely rotates 180 degrees and doesn't stick to the bolt exit at all, making it completely unusable. We're going to remove that and buy one from Home Depot instead. What a waste of money!
