This is an inexpensive Ford style solenoid. I used it on a Chevy powered hot rod project because my manifolds ran near the starter and heated the inline solenoid so much that on a warm day the car had to cool for a significant amount of time before it would restart could become. Bypassing the Chevy solenoid in favor of this one on the firewall, away from the heat, did the trick. I'm planning to buy another one for my vintage Willys Jeep project. If quality is important to you and you're on a budget, make sure you buy a genuine Ford part from your local dealer. I haven't had any problems with it after a few months of use.
