Review on 🚰 CeraMetix Fluoride Gravity Water Filter by Aquacera by Felicia Sanchez

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Gravity filters to remove chemicals and pathogens, including fluoride! Does not require electricity. Compatible with Berkey.

I use them with my old Royal Berkey stainless steel container --- they fit perfectly in the grooves. These ceramic filters are so much better than crappy black "cheap extruded" Berkey filters which over time become contaminated with E. coli and also fall apart at the bottom due to poor quality glue/construction and let unfiltered water through! Over time, Black Berkey filters can breed inside the E. coli, adding E. coli to the filtered water, which has happened to me (although they're good at absorbing chemicals like chlorine). This Aquacera Cerametix ceramic filter is based on the original filter. and the highly successful Doulton ceramic technology, which is over 100 years old and has a smaller filter pore size (1/2 micron?) than Black Berks, but contains absorbent carbon inside. It's also self-sterilizing (it's impregnated inside with silver, which, unlike the black Berkey, inhibits the growth of bacteria and biofilm). Improvement and Benefit --- no additional toxic aluminum is added to the water --- unlike the expensive Berkey fluoride filter --- which adsorbs fluorine and adds aluminum at the same time!. Why Would Anyone Substitute Aluminum Fluoride? Not the best compromise, especially if Alzheimer's runs in your family, since Alzheimer's sufferers have 6 times more aluminum in their brains than normal people. Fluoride is very harmful to people with thyroid problems so it needs to be filtered out and Aquacera does just that. Aquacera Cerametix is an excellent chemical and antimicrobial filter that can be used without electricity as it is a gravity filter. In fact, many people have used it in the field in Africa with no disease problems, although the micron pore size is not small enough to filter out all pathogens, but it does an excellent job on most pathogens. If I were camping in Africa I would use this filter and then maybe put a few drops of bleach in a gallon of filtered water and let it sit overnight for the bleach to evaporate - just to be sure. I use 2 of these filters with my old Berkey stainless steel well water tank, it makes very tasty water. I also use one of these filters at my country house where the water is heavily fluoridated. I made the container by simply drilling a 1/2 inch hole in the bottom of a 5 gallon bucket and draining the water from the bucket into a large jar of sun tea. Overall I would recommend this product.
