This was very handy for measuring room dimensions. I don't do any construction or precision work. I mainly use this for cabling (since I know how many cables I need), wireless network (WiFi) surveys, and making rough floor plans. This was very convenient when searching for houses, since the dimensions of rooms were measured very quickly. It is very easy to use; I've barely looked at the manual and am very comfortable with most of the functions. You get a lot for the price. I'm still amazed at that. Maybe not the best for extreme precision (carpentry, pipe bending, drawing plans accurately) but for many applications where you need an accuracy of a few centimeters it's great! Highly recommended to anyone looking.
