Super handy at an affordable price

This was very handy for measuring room dimensions. I don't do any construction or precision work. I mainly use this for cabling (since I know how many cables I need), wireless network (WiFi) surveys, and making rough floor plans. This was very convenient when searching for houses, since the dimensions of rooms were measured very quickly. They say it's IP54, but I found dust under the screen on both the first and replacement devices.

I really like this product, but both the original and the replacement had dust under the screen. I added a star because I was able to remove the dust myself but probably somehow voided my warranty. I first removed the four small Phillips screws and then carefully pryed the bottom off the left side, being extra careful not to damage the tape on the right side, which required me to close that side and open it like a door. Very useful and seems pretty accurate

I am very impressed with this device. It seems very accurate. I really like the Auto Level and Auto Height measurements. They are amazingly accurate. These features use triangulation to determine the elevation, elevation gain, and horizontal distance from your location. They are ideal for creating site plans or landscape plans. During the day, the laser dot is difficult to see from afar. It comes with a little reflector that helps a bit. However, it is still difficult to aim the laser at a…

This device looks like a quality tool and feels good in the palm of your hand. It comes with an instruction manual, but I was able to use it right after I turned it on because it has simple menu options and a simple button layout. It comes with a pouch that has a compartment for the tool itself as well as an included laser target card. I found it accurate enough that I didn't have to use a plastic target for my measurements. Deviation 3/16 inch. Failed to calibrate as instructed. No tripod mount. See updated review

I really like the product but it was inaccurate right out of the box. is working. I've tried holding all 4 buttons at once, or holding 3 and then pressing the power button, but all it did was turn it on and never go into calibration mode. In addition, the laser is rather weak. Attempting to measure something remotely would be next to impossible without a tripod-mounted laser. The device is easy to use and I love the fact that it has memory. I will update my review once I get a replacement…
