Review on Motorcraft SW5219 Light Switch Assembly by Jasmin Rojas

I ordered this switch to replace the intermittent switch on my 2000 ranger and it is an OEM part except for the serial number. Pretty easy to install, took about 5 minutes, the worst part was lying upside down and looking under the wheel (I'm not as young as I used to be and my eyesight made it difficult). He pulled out the locking cotter pin, pulled the old switch off the brake pedal shaft and disconnected it from the wiring harness, cleaned the contacts before installing it, put the new switch in place and reassembled it in reverse order, reinserted the cotter pin and that's it. The. Now my shifter slides out of park easily, the headlights work fine and it works like new. This is the only option as the imported (Chinese) part costs more than double at the auto parts store and this is an exact Motorcraft replacement. The delivery was quick too. Highly recommend this seller and if you are having trouble with your car not wanting to shift out of park no problem. If you're even a little mechanically savvy, replacing a faulty brake switch and saving a ton of money at the shop is a silly easy task. DO IT!
