Absolutely senseless children's room

A completely unexpected puppy came to us during the holidays. Our 7 year old girls stopped using the boxes and their boxes that we kept were showing some wear and tear. So we took this crate as a new crate for the pup and as a space saver in the family room with folding gates. old wire boxes. We knew the new pup wasn't in the crate too much and he wasn't going to be happy, but the first time we left him in the crate alone for more than a few minutes, we came back to find that the bars were in there was. box, and he was happily roaming free. As I was thinking that we must have misaligned the gate or that the brackets holding it together were misaligned (the left side seems to be more curved to get to the brackets than the right when looking at the gate) , I added a couple of zippers to hold the seams together. Before attempting to exit again, I made sure the door was properly oriented and properly locked. I rotated the security camera so she could see the box and went outside to check. Within 10 minutes I saw him pushing and shoving the door off its rails onto the floor. And that includes the time it took him to eat the treat in the box for the first time. Well, this is a 40 pound, 1 year old (appears to be purebred or close) Siberian Husky. It was a very big box to grow into. I have no idea how this is supposed to hold up even the humblest 50-80 pound dog when he can get out so easily and quickly.

Pros
  • Absolutely brilliant!
Cons
  • Big and bulky
