I've had it for a few months now. I travel for work sometimes, and this idiot is great with receipts. When I get back to my hotel or when I have the opportunity to scan receipts, they are scanned into a folder. I can add comments to remind me why the company needs to pay back an invoice. As far as I'm concerned, I need to add contract numbers, who was on duty (for groceries), etc. I can add all those things and even do a little expense report. So far I've been happy with it, apart from a few bugs in the software and a lack of functionality. It was awesome for the following reasons: 1. It puts everything in a folder that I can name and date. I track my expenses by week so I have weekly folders.2. A nice little PDF is generated with a title page, a line-by-line listing of the receipts, receipt comments, and actual receipts. I will have over 30 receipts and still be less than 1 megabyte.3. They inform you that the IRS will accept scanned receipts as originals. This means that any receipt that I need to keep before the tax period can be scanned and placed in the tax receipt folder for that year. Then when it's time for taxes, I can just create one big PDF for the whole year.4. Everything is stored in the database. There are some limited searches you can do, but my greatest luck is that I haven't lost the receipt yet. 5. This item comes with a bracket so you can hang it vertically. That's a fantastic idea. I scan my checks directly into the shopping cart. Once scanned, they are thrown in the trash. He had some problems. 1. In the 3.0 version that I bought, if you had too many receipts, all the comments just wouldn't print. It was annoying for the first month and a half. Since I complained about this, they then sent me a free license for the next version, NeatWorks 4.0.2. They only allow you to use your scanner. It's frustrating because I get home, dock my laptop, but can't use my docked home scanner. I need to pull out a specific scanner and use it. Apparently Mac users can use alternative scanners. You need it with PC users. Your software is currently corrupted. If you're a traveler who needs to make copies of receipts, then this is great stuff. If you have a workspace and already have a scanner, this might be for you. Once they fix their software and let any scanner work with it, it gets a lot better.
