A stingingly annoying fan

I decided to switch to an Andyson Superflower PSU with the same performance. This is a large, heavy unit and feels premium. The cables are thick and stiff as some other reviews have mentioned, but I think this is partly due to the heat shrink tubing peeling off the sheath. Superflower is well known in the community for their high quality power supplies for EVGA, Rosewill and several other companies. The only criticism is the fan. As someone else mentioned, this is a pretty noisy little bug. Some reviews show that it excels at 1200 rpm, but it makes an awful noise, almost like a hiss. There's no coil whistling or anything like that, because when I hit the ECO mode switch, the noise stops immediately. After spending such changes on a high-end power supply, I expected a quieter fan. Since the 10-year warranty is good with or without ECO mode, I leave it on almost forever so I don't have to hear that awful fan. Maybe he just needs time to settle in. Who knows. Edit: Comes back because of constant shrill fan noise. No, it doesn't hiss or twist. I stopped the fan with a soft brush and viola, the noise stopped.
