Everything is fine. But for some reason it has a range setting of 250 for the upper limit of the ACV and DCV switch settings. It should be labeled 300 and not 250. Even the manual I downloaded online says 300 instead of 250. And other manufacturers show pictures of the same GMT-312 with max voltage settings of 300 instead of 250. And even the scale doesn't. I don't have anything with a maximum deviation of 250. But the scale has a maximum deviation of 300. And when I measure the output voltage of 120VAC with the 250AC scale, it shows 120V on the face scale of 300 meters and 120V on the face scale of 150 meters. In short, this is a cheap meter that does what it's supposed to do, but someone went to great lengths to mislabel the voltage ranges. strange! I just hope I remember the wrong label when I use it as I don't use it very often.
