Review on 🏎️ aFe Power Momentum GT 54-72102 Dodge RAM HEMI Performance Intake System – Unlock Optimum Power! by David Jones

I've had several K&N air intakes on previous cars but this air intake is excellent. This air intake fits my Ram 1500 (2018 model) perfectly and looks like it could easily be installed as a factory standard R/T. The intake filter is a substantial size but I can't confirm if mileage improves with this intake and I didn't buy it to increase mileage. I can't tell if the car's performance has been increased either - but you'll immediately notice that the engine breathes much more efficiently (especially when the front air intake cover is removed) and the engine seems more responsive. As for engine noise from under the hood, under hard acceleration there's a big growl coming from under the hood, distinctive and hoarse, and not annoyingly boomy like a K&N intake. That raspy growl isn't present at all at normal driving or highway speed - it only occurs under hard acceleration "as it's supposed to be". 30+ minutes for the first installation according to the instructions. The only complaint I had was that the bottom 5/8" air link pipe is too long and needs to be trimmed as the ram leaves "zero" tolerance for a high intake setting and is "hard" down must be mounted on the throttle body to mount the unit under the hood. That being said, the under hood air intake looks amazing, it's professional quality and although it's more expensive than K&N or other air intakes, I recommend this air intake as an obvious choice 1.
