Others have mentioned this (either this product or similar) but really need a different adjustment axis. Dead center of the detector (left-right), it can "steer" off the road, resulting in poor line of sight both forward and backward. It's not always possible (or safe to see) to place it in a blind spot, so having it a little away from the rearview mirror is ideal, but then the line-of-sight angle changes too much. A shame. , because it's otherwise a very solid (albeit a bit large) mount; Horizontal adjustment was critical for my Toyota FJ Cruiser, which has a very steep (closer to vertical) angle, making it impossible to use my Escort detector's standard mount without bending it (which would then be wrong for my sports car, the at an acute angle to the windshield.
