Worked well for the power tool battery

Original Review: I did something very similar to the other reviewer and converted an old 18v black and deck NICD battery to lithium. I followed the schematic and had no problems. Shorting the overcurrent setting is mandatory. I used some random 20650 cells I collected from phone chargers. However, I would recommend using high current lithium cells regardless of size. necessary. NOTE: The board comes with a 5s battery connector, but this connector is not the "standard" size used in lipo packs, at least not the ones I have. This way you don't have to buy 5s connector cables unless you want to add an external access connector like I did. an amplifier. The 5s connector wires that are included and used during charging are very thin 26 gauge wires. I used thick 16 gauge wire to connect the two ends of the battery pack to the circuit board and battery posts. 18 volt weed eater and Black and Decker blower. This is possible with the overcurrent jumper enabled, without which even the drill would shut down on startup. If I pull the trimmer or blower trigger I can get them up to full operating speed, it's just an initial zero force which is too much. I'll try adding a large capacitor across the battery terminals, maybe with a switch to cut any stray draw from the cap when not in use.
