DC motor does not work

I wanted to use this to start the drill. But as it turns out, it won't work. I bought it because it was recommended for my project.

  • Absolute legend
Cons
  • There are nuances

Couldn't handle 50 amps

The unit couldn't handle 45 amps. With the overcurrent bridge connected, the device did not charge at all. Hm, I should have known.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Does not correspond to what is declared/advertised

The description of the board's characteristics is too high; So overpriced I bought a second one thinking the first one was broken. I had the same result with the 2nd board. For example, the maximum mass load is 2.5 amps. Avoid this product if you want the features on this list.

Used this 5S 50A board to work with a B&D 18v drill.

Where is the manual? Didn't receive it with the board and can't find it here or online. I'm good with electronics and have done everything shown in the pictures to increase the power but the B&D 18v drill bit still doesn't work. If I pull the trigger very slowly, it barely moves, moreover, it stops. I do not recommend buying this board. Damn.

Don't buy this.: Power Supply Accessory

Do not buy. Waste of money and time, mostly. Read all reviews and tips. It just doesn't work the way it was delivered and needs to be hacked. I actually have tools and specialty parts for hacking, but I've found that the parts used on this board are smaller surface mount components and almost impossible for a layperson to work with (despite using magnifying glasses and a special soldering tool). ). Most likely, these are additional stocks of a specific commercial product. Based on the comments,

Doesn't seem to balance even after 48 hours of inactivity

I use it on a 4S21P Li-Ion block of 18650 cells with a capacity of about 50Ah. The under voltage worked fine, there was no output as expected. As many have said, Overcurrent also works as advertised. However, I doubt the ability to balance the cells. I stopped charging when one of the cells reached 4.205 volts and let it sit. The delta was 130 mV between the highest and lowest cell. After 2 days of inactivity I expected the highest cell to be closer to the lowest cell as the balancing function…

Very good board for the price. Added Power Delay Capacity Hack saves lives!

The review that talks about increasing the delay for power spikes is correct! These are great little boards but switching between cell numbers with jumpers seems impossible as even a 5 second path on a 4 second board is filled with passives causing a little confusion here to get your 5 batteries to 16 .8 V to balance, which is not very helpful. The capacitor you want to add extra capacitance to (2.2uF worked for my purposes) is third from the left on the passive line, just below the jumper that

Works great - Current Transformer

The chip works well. For my particular application, I needed to add a bit more capacity to the current shutdown/latency. In my particular application the motor (drive wheels) was running on 18V 5S and even with the jumper shorted it was not enough to prevent the circuit from tripping (turning off) when the motor was activated under high RPM load. Adding 3uF fixed this (the default 'extra' capacitance was 0.6uF, to which I added a 3uF surface mount cap to further increase the latency - you can…

Worked well for the power tool battery

Original Review: I did something very similar to the other reviewer and converted an old 18v black and deck NICD battery to lithium. I followed the schematic and had no problems. Shorting the overcurrent setting is mandatory. I used some random 20650 cells I collected from phone chargers. However, I would recommend using high current lithium cells regardless of size. necessary. NOTE: The board comes with a 5s battery connector, but this connector is not the "standard" size used in lipo packs…
