The chip works well. For my particular application, I needed to add a bit more capacity to the current shutdown/latency. In my particular application the motor (drive wheels) was running on 18V 5S and even with the jumper shorted it was not enough to prevent the circuit from tripping (turning off) when the motor was activated under high RPM load. Adding 3uF fixed this (the default 'extra' capacitance was 0.6uF, to which I added a 3uF surface mount cap to further increase the latency - you can see this in the second picture ). This solved all the problems I was having. Seems like a good circuit so I give it 5 stars although it would be better if maybe it had 2 jumpers so you can add different values of capacitance to adjust the latency as needed for specific applications.
