If you are not replacing circuit boards, this is the best option. go slowly; great results.

This concept was exactly what I had in mind. While toothpicks/dowels/glue might work (depending on the damage), be prepared to repair later if the door needs to be removed for painting etc. Those "sleeves" were really strong. READ the Quick Start Guide. Make sure you have a pilot hole. Yes, there is already a hole, but you keep drilling. If you make a small mistake, it will be noticeable when the plate is returned to its place. It may make sense (depending on your damage) to gradually increase the bits from smaller to larger. However, I would even consider (if I needed it again) to use the largest drill bit that fits the holes in your board. This will ensure that you are the center of attention. Set the drill to low speed / high torque. Take your time. The torx bit was a little "soft" and a few taps on the side with a screwdriver easily dislodged it from my drill bit. The included screws were fine, but if you're like me worry about stripping - maybe consider a smaller torx. Cap screws for peace of mind that you won't have to drill later. Definitely recommend.
