Ideal for our purposes

Ordered as an aid, mainly to get the snowblower in/out of the garage. Our Intellicode opener is around 16 years old, the original tombstone remotes still work. The garage is timber framed with vinyl siding, 16'x7 sectional doors, double steel siding and insulation. Programming was quick and easy. Most of the time was spent installing the ladders and removing/replacing the lamp cover. Follow the instructions and program the top (largest) button for the first time. The total time is about 25 minutes. Seems to be a good balance between range and size. The range of this device is decent, although it does carry our tombstones a bit further. We tried the tiny one-button genius a while back, but it lacked range. This remote is much better in that regard. Opens a door from a distance of 150 feet or more and fires at an angle of 0-45 degrees from center. Should work fine in the car, but in certain situations (e.g. interference, signal blockage, off-axis reception) performance may be insufficient. Rubber buttons do not respond to user actions. No clicking, chirping or buzzing - just a soft feel when pressed. There is also a slight delay between the switch closing and the breaker activating - about 1 second or so. Combined with the button's vague feedback, this can result in people pressing multiple times before the door opens. Firmly press the button to make good contact, then wait a second or two. Once you get used to this "feature" it will work every time, so no stars. However, there is no such delay with our tombstones. We are very happy with this device. Remember that smaller remotes sacrifice performance and range. If you have to work long distances from your car, this probably isn't the best choice. In this respect, this is a good solution for short to medium distances.
