This blade is very sharp. It's made in Japan, and the teeth are sharpened the way Japanese hand saws are usually sharpened: like two rows on one blade. Cuts very well and leaves a very clean cut. However, there are two things to note: 1. It is impossible to resharpen this blade, no matter what tools you have in your workshop.2. The blade is almost flat. Unlike most saws, where the teeth are set outward (curved) on either side of the blade, there are no teeth. Therefore, the incision is very narrow - just as thick as a blade. This makes cutting wet wood more difficult as the blade tends to shrink. It may be good for cutting relatively dry hardwoods, but I've found it easier to cut palm fronds (palm fronds) with conventional, much cheaper blades.
