My husband and I had to replace the jamb on our front door because the door wouldn't close properly. We didn't replace the hinge side of the jamb so we were puzzled to find there was a noticeable gap when the door was reinstalled (bad unless you want drafts, bugs or higher heating/cooling bills). The first "fix" I found online was to pry up the newly installed door jamb and below, but the drywall in our garage didn't work (and was already crumbling at the edges near the jamb). The second solution was to "spread" the loop (saw the youtube video but didn't want to risk messing up the loop). The third solution, which I almost missed, was to relocate the hinge myself. This product presented no difficulty as it was the least invasive, least expensive and least time consuming. As an added bonus, he also balanced the door so it doesn't close once you let go of the handle. Thanks to this product we stopped pulling our hair and solved the problem.
