I ripped out the guts and hardcoded them.
I ripped out the guts and screwed them into my bike. I installed the button on the steering wheel and soldered it to the circuit board to "connect" the micro button. Forget trying to change the battery, I hooked it up to a 12v bike power system with a small voltage converter that gives 3.3v and voila!
