The device is still installed in the house, so I can't rate the antenna itself, but we'll talk about the assembly. Must be installed on the boat's radar arch. Very disappointed that there is no standard 1 inch marine mount. The fastener sent has an unacceptable hole, and the diameter of the pipe is 2 times larger than usual. The large opening is designed to allow the cable to be routed from the hole in the boat back into the mount, which is not necessary with most boat mounts (just thread the tube all the way through)! Why drill a hole in the boat and then use a cable box or gasket to seal the hole in the boat when the cable can be routed straight through the bracket? The bracket is over the hole and the gasket closes it. It was strange. I have found a Glomex adapter (RA106ADAPT1X14 - CHROME 5/8"-24 THREAD TO 1"-14 THREAD ADAPTOR) that fits a standard marine mount that will work with this antenna. A bit tight on the mounting cable in the adapter but I was able to tighten it with a flathead screwdriver - quite doable and looks/works great!
