My vote is for this spindle.

Oh I love this spindle. The only downside of many pros is that I want to buy separate spindles. The spindle fits perfectly with the base and does not tilt, wobble or bind. Sometimes it takes some lube to make it spin freely, but what product like this wouldn't? Lanolin is ideal for free spins.
