It definitely works for what I use it for. The only problem I have with this product is that it is not an upscaler. In fact, it's just a transcoder. I have an HDMI component and it works with any source that is 480i and higher. The downside to this is that 240p sources are not compatible with this device, which is really disappointing. Your video promoting this device shows that it works with snes nes genesis. These consoles are 240p sources, it strikes me that they say they will work with our new displays which is misleading. I use this with my Nintendo GameCube and it works very well. I'm playing on a GameBoy ULL 480p interface and it's trying to fix the odd refresh rate. It does its job well, despite showing distortion lines every 30 minutes. I also use this with regular GameCube games at 480p and it works very well. This transcoder makes component signals less washed out and corrects oversaturated colors. Games run fantastic on this device.
