Review on Canon EF-S 55-250mm F4-5.6 IS STM Lens Review & Best Deals for Canon SLR Cameras by Shimamoto Tatsuki ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent quality, absolutely not expected for such a price.

I chose a zoom lens for a long time. It began with a search for used options, because I don't use it often. I wanted 70-300 at the beginning, but such soaps after 200mm. I thought about 70-200 4L. Big and no IS. Stopped at 55-250. After seeing the reviews, I liked the version with STM. The quality is inferior of course to L-cams, but the best option for price and quality. According to reviews, a little better than the old versions of 55-250. For shooting nature, planes, animals - that's it. If everything is done during the day, in good weather. At the beginning there was a shock - it's a quiet autofocus, you don't feel it at all, it's not very familiar. Haven't tested it yet, but so far I like it. 5 points, price-quality. (Though the price is a bit high)

Pros
  • Very quiet autofocus. Decent glass performance. Light. Relatively small. The front lens does not rotate when zoomed. Good stabilizer.
Cons
  • Plastic bayonet.
